The Lake County Haven
To launch my "A Painting A Day" project, I chose to paint a hummingbird. This painting was inspired by the sparkling, bouyant bird I glimpsed in my garden yesterday morning. So excited to begin, but being a stickler for details, I did not start this painting until just after midnight. I woke early to finish.

This painting is offered for sale on ebay through Sunday, September 4. A portion of the proceeds will benefit The Lake County Haven to help it fulfill its mission to empower homeless women and their children to achieve permanent, independent living. Founded in 1992, the Haven fulfills its mission by providing shelter, housing, and professional services in support of its residents and graduates.
